Corned Beef Hash
Ingredients..
1 tin or half pound corned beef
half pound carrots
small turnip
salt and black pepper
two small onions
one pound sliced potatoes
Beef Gravy stock (optional)

Optional additions. Try this with Diced Green Pepper or even some black pepper to season. Sliced Mushrooms and 1 large sliced Leek or even a tin of Garden or processed Peas too.

Beautiful Mouth Watering as it cooks.
Method:

Place a layer of sliced potatoes in the bottom of a buttered casserole, (or use large cooking pot) add a layer of sliced carrots (optional are parsnip turnip) and corned beef, then fill up with more potatoes and chopped onions cover with Stock and Season well cook in a moderate oven for one hour with the lid on. (Or on a simmer ring for 30 to 40 minutes.) Remove lid and return to oven to allow top to brown for fifteen minutes approximately. Serve hot (optional again with vegetables).

This can be made in a large pan too simmer when boiling for 30 mins or more. Or another option my other half takes a large caserole dish (with lid) sliced potatoes a tin of carrots, one sliced onion, a tin of corned beef, and slices them all into the casserole dish then covers them all to just over the top with a beef gravy mix (or stock). She cooks this at Gas 5 that's 190 for a good hour or hour and a half. It's nice indeed
