1 and a half pound. plain flour 1 pound currants 10 ounces. margerine or other fat half pound raisins 4 ounces mixed peel half pound sugar half teaspoon bicarbonate of soda 1 pint churn milk or sour milk half teaspoon mixed spice
Beat fat and sugar to a cream. Add all dry' ingredients, mix with one pint churn milk (or sour milk). Bake for two hours in a moderate oven.
